Optimal 160 meter dipole height for NVIS

Notes
1. As you can see a good ground conductivity is the main factor for the best NVIS gain (near 90º takeoff angle).
2. With a good ground conductivity the optimal height of a 160m NVIS dipole is from 18m to 38m.
3. With a poor ground conductivity the optimal height of a 160m NVIS dipole is higher, from 22m to 41m.
4. If you are targeting longer range (200km or more) the optimal antenna height is higher.
