This is a new version of external TS-480 RX port for SAT and HX models. It is intended eg for ext SDR waterfall use.
This external RX port is not affecting transceiver sensitivity, it takes a sample of antenna signal with high input impedance.

Open the top cover and remove the RF shield, 12 screws

Locate the metal relay cover marked green in this picture. SAT
model shown.

Fix the PCB on the relay cover with contact
adhesive and make the wirings
|
Green RF input, tinned wire GND, red +13.8V, grey coax out for
SMA connector.
